How to Add Tags to Your Rust Server

Tags for Rust servers are a unique way to show potential players the type of server you are running. With multiple preset options available, you’ll be able to promote your server to the players you want. This guide will show you how to easily add tags to your Rust server using the control panel.

How to Add Tags

Step 1: Login to the Control Panel

Login to the Control Panel with your credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Game Services

Click on ‘Game Services’

Step 3: Select Your Rust Service

Click on your ‘Rust Service’

Step 4: Stop the Server

Click the ‘Stop’ button to stop the server before making changes.

Step 5: Open the 'Configuration Files' Section

Navigate to the 'Configuration Files' section.

Step 6: Edit the 'server.cfg' File

Edit the 'server.cfg' file using the 'Text Editor'.

Step 7: Add Your Tags

Add the following line to the file:

server.tags "TAGS YOU WANT HERE"

To add multiple tags, separate them by commas, like this:

"monthly, pve"

Step 8: Save and Restart Your Server

Once you’ve added your tags, save the changes, restart your server, and the tags will be active.
