How to Enforce a Specific Game Build in FiveM
How to Enforce a Specific Game Build in FiveM | EUGameHost
Use a specific GTA V game build on your FiveM server to unlock newer DLC content such as vehicles, clothing, maps, and props.
This is required for many modern scripts, custom vehicles, MLOs, and clothing packs.
Difficulty: Beginner
Time Required: 4 Minutes
Why Change the Game Build?
By default, FiveM may use an older GTA V build for maximum compatibility.
Some newer resources require newer DLC assets from official GTA V updates.
Changing the game build allows access to content from DLCs such as:
- Cayo Perico
- Los Santos Tuners
- The Contract
- The Chop Shop
This is commonly required for:
- Custom cars
- Clothing packs
- MLOs and maps
- Modern scripts
- New weapon assets
- DLC props and interiors
Recommended Game Builds
Below are the most commonly used game builds.
| Build Number | DLC Name | Recommended Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1604 | Arena War | Older legacy servers |
| 2189 | Cayo Perico | Island assets and gear |
| 2372 | Los Santos Tuners | Vehicle mods and race content |
| 2699 | The Contract | Agency assets and newer vehicles |
| 3095 | The Chop Shop | Recommended for most servers |
For most modern servers, we strongly recommend:
3095
Method 1: Change Build from the EUGameHost Panel
Log in to your EUGameHost Game Panel.
Go to:
Startup
Find the setting called:
Game Build
Enter your desired build number.
Example:
3095
Save the changes.
Method 2: Change Build in server.cfg
You can also enforce the build manually inside your server.cfg.
Add this line:
sv_enforceGameBuild 3095
Replace 3095 with the build required by your scripts.
Restart Your Server
After saving the build setting, restart your server from the EUGameHost control panel.
Once restarted, players will automatically download the required GTA V DLC files when joining.
This may show an additional loading bar during connection.
Common Issues
Scripts or Vehicles Not Working
This usually means the resource requires a newer build.
Check the script documentation and match the required build number.
Crashes After Changing Build
Some older scripts or frameworks may not support newer builds.
Make sure your framework is fully updated.
Examples:
- QB-Core
- ESX Framework
Older versions may cause:
- menu issues
- missing assets
- client crashes
- script errors
Best Practice Recommendation
For almost all modern FiveM servers, use:
sv_enforceGameBuild 3095
Only use older builds if a specific script requires it.
Running outdated builds can limit newer DLC content and reduce compatibility with premium resources.
