This article will guide you through Ark Mod installation.

Simple Method

If the mods are compatible with -automagedmods then simple add the ID's of the mods to the activemod list in the gameusersettings.ini.  Then boot the server, you will see it hang on 54MB RAM usage while it downloads the mods and this on average takes around 10 or 15 minutes.

Advanced Method

If the one or more of the mods you are using are not compatible with the -automanagedmods command line paramter ( mods fail to download or .mod files are deleted on reboot ) go to the command line manager and select a "No autoamgedmods" command line option then follow the guide below.

How to get Ark Mods
- Subscribe to the mod via the Steam workshop.
- Launch the game to the main menu. This installs/unpacks the mod into the game. Then close the game. Failure to do this will break your server.
- Go to your steam folder (Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\)
- Find the mod folder which will be an ID named folder like 46754636 for the mod you wish to use. ZIP both the folder and relating .mod file

- Login to TCAdmin and switch your server 'off'
- Use TCAdmins built in file manager, and navigate to (ShooterGame\Content\Mods)

Mods need to be uploaded so the structure of the folder is made so it looks like; ShooterGame\Content\Mods\479929837   (439927654folder)

- Use the 'Upload' feature to upload the file. This must be a .zip file.
- Once uploaded unzip the zip file. Folder structure should look like: (\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\439927654)
- Go back to the main control panel.

For Conventional Mods

- Click 'Configuration files' > Text Editor.
- Open the  GameUserSettings.ini

- Add the line 'ActiveMods=439927654 to the file. (Change the numbers for the MOD ID's of the mods you wish to use)
- Click apply and start your server. It may take some time to start for the first time.

Mod Stacking
You can stack multiple mod packs in Ark. This allows multiple mods to be used together and combine their changes.

To Use Stackable Mods you must follow the process above, however when you come to entering the settings in the config file you must specify all the MOD ID's you wish to use seperated by coma's.

Example
ActiveMods=439927654,342653673

The top mod will take priority (i.e. is most likely to fully work), and any secondary mods will attempt to add items and other overrides, they may or may not work depending on what those mods actually do (most mods that add items will work as secondary mods where as you'll likely want to use any major rebalancing mod as your "base" mod.

We are unable to guarantee all mods work together or at all due to mod makers having to keep them up to date however we will endeavour to assist where we can.

Total Conversions
Once you have uploaded the total conversion mod you are wishing to activate, instead of activating the mod via configuration file do the following.

- Click command line manager.
- Find the option 'Custom Command Line' option.
- Click New.

- Add the command line arguement -TotalConversionMod=547377246
- The map box will be prepopulated with TheIsland. Change this if needed otherwise leave it.

- Save and start the server.

Map Mods
Once you have uploaded the map mod you are wishing to activate, instead of activating the mod via configuration file do the following.

- Click command line manager.
- Find the option 'CustomMap'
- Click select.
- In the first box 'Map name or string' enter the MAP mod ID.
- In the second box 'Mod ID' enter any other mod you want to launch with the server.
- Save and start the server.
