Installing Minecraft modpacks is a fantastic way to expand your gameplay, with hundreds of pre-built combinations of mods tailored to different themes, styles, and objectives. Rather than configuring mods individually, modpacks handle all the hard work for you.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to install a Minecraft modpack using several popular launchers, including CurseForge, FTB, MultiMC, Technic, and Voidswrath.

🧰 What is a Modpack?

A modpack bundles together multiple Minecraft mods that have been tested to work together. They often feature:

  • Unique gameplay mechanics
  • Themed content (e.g., tech, magic, survival)
  • Performance optimisations
  • Pre-configured world generation and recipes

Modpacks are usually built for specific versions of Minecraft (e.g., 1.18.2 or 1.20.1) and may require matching Forge or Fabric modloaders.

The CurseForge Launcher is one of the easiest and most stable ways to install modpacks.

  1. Download the CurseForge Launcher
  2. Open the launcher, click Mods → Minecraft
  3. Click Browse Modpacks

  2. Extract the ZIP and run MultiMC.exe
  3. Create a shortcut for easy access
  4. Open MultiMC and go to Profiles → Manage Accounts
  5. Add your Mojang or Microsoft login details
  6. Click Add Instance in the top-left
  7. Choose to install:

🧪 Technic Launcher

  1. Download the Technic Launcher
  2. Log in with your Minecraft account
  3. Click the Modpacks tab
  4. Search for your chosen pack
  5. Click Install, then Play

🕹️ Voidswrath Launcher

  1. Download from voidswrath.com
  2. Log in at the bottom of the launcher
