How to Connect to a Rust Server

Connecting to a Rust server is essential for enjoying the full multiplayer experience of this survival game. Whether you’re looking to join a public server or a private one hosted by EUGameHost, this guide will show you exactly how to connect using multiple methods. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth connection and get started with your Rust adventure.

Step 1: Find Your Server Address

To join a Rust server, you first need the server’s connection information. If you own a EUGameHost Rust server, you can find this information on the Control Panel. Look for the field labeled "Connection Info", as shown in the image below.

In this example, the server address is 123.456.78.9:28015. The numbers before the colon (:) represent the Server IP, and the numbers after the colon are the Server Port.

Step 2: Connecting Using Rust’s In-Game Console

The easiest way to connect directly to your server is by using the in-game console. Here’s how:

  • Launch Rust and press the F1 key to open the console.
  • Ensure the "CONSOLE" tab is selected in the top-left corner.
  • Type the command: client.connect <IP:Port>
  • Press Enter to connect.
