Where Physgun is ahead
- A newer CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X (Zen 5) against our Ryzen 9 7950X (Zen 4) on Extreme, and against Intel Xeon on our Standard tier.
- A three-day refund window against our 48 hours.
- No slot cap: Physgun bills for hardware and lets you set maxplayers yourself. Our plans are sold at 50, 100 and 150 slots.
- A higher Trustpilot score, 4.7 against our 4.5, though from a quarter of the reviews.
The trade-off
Physgun's Starter is a good plan: a current-generation Ryzen, DDR5 and no slot cap. It also costs $19.87 a month to our £7.50, with 10 GB of RAM to our 16. Our Extreme tier at £15.00 is the fairer hardware comparison: dedicated Ryzen 9 7950X cores and DDR5, still below Physgun's entry price, with more RAM. If you want the newest silicon and three days to decide, Physgun earns the extra. If you want the most RAM and the lowest price on a named CPU, with the same two-continent footprint, the table is the case for us.
Both hosts install Oxide/uMod or Carbon from the panel, both run NVMe storage and both include DDoS protection, so the choice comes down to the rows above: what you pay at 50 slots, how much RAM that buys, which CPU it runs on, where it runs and how long you have to change your mind. Our Rust server hosting page lists every plan, and the Rust server guide covers the admin side whichever host you pick.
